Coordinated Scheduling Strategy for Distributed Generation Considering Uncertainties in Smart Grids
Smart grid with great flexibility requirements will not accommodate high proportion of distributed generation with uncertainty in the future. Hence, it becomes indispensable to research scheduling strategy of distributed generation, aiming to reduce ...

Generation maintenance scheduling in virtual power plants
In an active network, as a virtual power plant (VPP), periodic maintenance of distributed generators (DGs) is critically vital for the reliable operation of the power system. To prevent unexpected failure of DGs and avoid deterioration of the grid's reliability, coordination of maintenance scheduling is indispensable.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

An Intelligent Scheduling Approach for Electric Power Generation [PDF]
Although China is vigorously developing clean energy and nuclear power, the thermal power generation (mainly coal power) is still the most important power generation method at present. Economic load dispatch (ELD) is a typical optimization problem in power systems which lots of researchers are trying to explore.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).
