Circuit-Specific and Technology-Independent Criterion for Selection of Power MOSFETs That Minimize Energy Dissipation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
We investigate the impact of power MOSFET channel width on the power efficiency of a switch-mode power supply. With this analysis, we derive a circuit-specific criterion that minimizes the power dissipated by a power MOSFET, which is based on the ratio ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

FCC Algorithm for Power Loss Diminution [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Engineering Sciences, 2021
In this work, the FCC algorithm has been applied to the power problem. Real power loss reduction, voltage deviation minimization, and voltage stability enhancement are the key objectives of the proposed work. The proposed FCC algorithm has been modeled based on the competition, communication among teams, and training procedure within the team.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

HIGH CURRENT HARMONICS INFLUENCE ON THE CHOICE OF CONDUCTORS OF CRANE POWER SUPPLY SYSTEMS

open access: yesElectrical engineering & Electromechanics, 2019
Purpose. To study the effect of high current harmonics on the power and voltage losses in the conductive lines of the crane power supply systems and the development of an account method for this influence in practical calculations. Methodology.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

open access: yesElektrotehnìka ta Elektroenergetika, 2007
Выполнена количественная оценка и предложены расчетные зависимости для потерь в энергосистеме, вызванных влиянием несинусоидальной формы токов и неравномерности текущей мощности отдельного электропотребителя.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
