Optimal day-ahead operation of user-level integrated energy system considering dynamic behaviour of heat loads

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
During the operation of the integrated energy system (IES), the dynamic behaviour of heat loads can affect the optimal operation strategy. This study proposes a novel optimal day-ahead operation method of user-level IES considering the dynamic behaviour ...

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Contact Lens with Moiré Patterns for High‐Precision Eye Tracking

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a passive contact lens for high‐precision eye tracking, integrating a microscopic moiré grating label. The parallax‐induced shift of macroscopic moiré patterns enables angle measurement with 0.28° precision using a standard camera under ambient light.
