Air ion concentrations under overhead high-voltage transmission lines [PDF]
This paper reports air ion concentration monitored at 41 sites under overhead high voltage ac power lines in and around an urban environment. The net ionic polarity under power lines was of both signs but mostly positive, and concentrations varied widely

COMPOSITE SUPPORTS OF OVERHEAD POWER LINES
The article considers the feasibility of using composite supports during the replacement of overhead power lines, analyzes the relevance of these technologies. The advantages of composite overhead power line towers for construction, modernization and restoration work over traditional wooden and metal towers are substantiated.

A dual‐timescale reservoir based on monolithically 3D (M3D)‐integrated CNT solid ion‐gated transistors is demonstrated. Tunable ionic dynamics and pulse‐engineered operation enable linear and symmetric synaptic updates. The M3D‐integrated array achieves robust temporal encoding and accurate classification of moving MNIST sequences, highlighting its ...

A Performance evaluation of two overhead power line proximity warning devices [PDF]
Accidental contact of overhead electrical power lines by mobile equipment is a leading cause of occupational fatalities in the United States, accounting for 20% of on-the-job electrocutions. Overhead electrical power line proximity warning devices (PWDs)

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...
