Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

A Novel Structure of a Power System Stabilizer for Microgrids
This paper proposes a novel structure of a power system stabilizer (PSS) to improve the stability of synchronous generators (SGs) in microgrids. Microgrids are relatively vulnerable in terms of stability due to their small size and low inertia.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

HVDC grids stability improvement by direct current power system stabilizer
High‐voltage direct current breaker is among the essential components of high‐voltage direct current grids. Such a breaker generally needs a direct current reactor to reduce the fault currents rate.

Design of Power System Stabilizer [PDF]
A power system stabilizer (PSS) installed in the excitation system of the synchronous generator improves the small-signal power system stability by damping out low frequency oscillations in the power system.

An extended linear quadratic regulator and its application for control of power system dynamics [PDF]
This paper presents a generalized solution to the problem of optimal control of systems having an extra set of exogenous inputs besides control inputs. The solution is derived in the framework of linear quadratic control and it is termedextended linear ...
