Robust nonlinear control of transient stability of power systems

In this paper we present a robust nonlinear excitation controller of synchronous generator connected through one transmission line to an infinite bus (SMIB) to enhance transient stability. Simulation results show that transient stability of a single machine infinite bus power system under a large sudden fault can be improved.
