Stoma‐Shell Nanoarchitecture for Enhanced Plasma Confinement Catalysis in Synthesis of Ethanol from CO2

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
High‐energy electron impact in plasma catalysis often causes excessive dissociation of active intermediates, limiting C2+ product selectivity. To address this challenge, a bio‐inspired stoma‐shell nanoarchitecture is designed to decouple electron impact from catalytic reaction zones.

Dynamic Identification of Critical Transmission Lines in Power Systems With Wind Power Integration Based on Maximum Influence Theory

open access: yesIEEE Access
With the integration of large-scale renewable energy sources, the risk of power system operation has increased significantly. To effectively prevent large-scale blackout incidents, it is essential to identify the critical transmission lines within the ...

Location of Faults in Power Transmission Lines Using the ARIMA Method

open access: yesEnergies, 2017
One of the major problems in transmission lines is the occurrence of failures that affect the quality of the electric power supplied, as the exact localization of the fault must be known for correction.

Gear wear process monitoring using acoustic signals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Airborne acoustic signals contain valuable information from machines and can be detected remotely for condition monitoring. However, the signal is often seriously contaminated by various noises from the environment as well as nearby machines.

From Single Atoms to Nanoparticles: Pathways Toward Efficient and Durable Pt/TiO2 Photocatalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Platinum single atoms on TiO2 nanosheets evolve into clusters and nanoparticles under ethanol photoreforming and thermal treatments. By controlling deposition and post‐treatments, particle size and location on specific facets are modulated. The study reveals how stability pathways determine efficiency, guiding the design of more durable photocatalysts.

Protection of transmission lines using fault component integrated power

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2014
In this study, a novel scheme is proposed for pilot protection of transmission line based on the fault component integrated power (FCIP). An appropriate definition is proposed for FCIP. The proposed scheme is able to quickly discriminate the normal condition, internal fault and external fault situations, even in severe operating and emergency ...

Shaping Ti3C2 MXene Nanospheres for Precision Near‐Infrared Photothermal Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, we report producing spherical MXenes via fs laser fragmentation of Ti3C2 flakes in liquid medium. The nanoparticles demonstrated pronounced light absorption and high photothermal conversion efficiencies of 68% and 63% under heating with NIR‐I and NIR‐II lasers, respectively.
