Effect of equivalent salt deposit density on flashover voltage of contaminated insulator energized by HVDC [PDF]
In Malaysia, the demand for electric power is increasing day by day due to more consumption of power in the industrial sector. Recently, the high voltage DC transmission lines are under construction near the coastal environments for transmitting the ...

Location of Faults in Power Transmission Lines Using the ARIMA Method
One of the major problems in transmission lines is the occurrence of failures that affect the quality of the electric power supplied, as the exact localization of the fault must be known for correction.

Synchrotron Radiation for Quantum Technology
Materials and interfaces underpin quantum technologies, with synchrotron and FEL methods key to understanding and optimizing them. Advances span superconducting and semiconducting qubits, 2D materials, and topological systems, where strain, defects, and interfaces govern performance.

Robustness of power systems under a democratic fiber bundle-like model
We consider a power system with $N$ transmission lines whose initial loads (i.e., power flows) $L_1, \ldots, L_N$ are independent and identically distributed with $P_L(x)$.

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

High frequency coupling model of multi-level transmission lines in power systems with scatterers
High-frequency electromagnetic fields can couple to overhead transmission lines. When the wavelength of the high-frequency electromagnetic fields is smaller than the height of the transmission lines, the classical transmission line theory is no longer ...

Fractional Skyrmion Tubes in Chiral‐Interfaced 3D Magnetic Nanowires
In chiral 3D helical magnetic nanowires, the coupling between the geometric and magnetic chirality provides a way to create topological spin states like vortex tubes. Here, it is demonstrated how the breaking of this coupling in interfaced 3D nanowires of opposite chirality leads to even more complex topological spin states, such as fractional ...

Spotlight: Texas wind energy: tax breaks, transmission lines key to growth [PDF]
Texas became the nation's most prolific generator of wind power in the past decade, but the industry's future growth will depend on tax incentives to make it cost competitive and new transmission lines to get electricity to consumers.Energy industries ...
