Transmission Expansion Planning in Large Power Systems Using Power System Equivalencing Techniques
With an increasing demand for electric power, new transmission lines should be constructed with a rational plan in the long run to guarantee a reliable and economic operation. The transmission expansion planning (TEP) is a mixed integer non-linear programming (MINLP) optimization problem in nature, which requires tremendous computational efforts ...

The SERS spectra of reporter molecules adsorbed on chiral gold nanorods depends on the handedness of circularly polarized light (CPL‐SERS). The bisignate plasmonic CD spectra of chiral nanorods provides wavelength‐dependent CPL‐SERS. Selective discrimination of chiral nanorod handedness and different Raman reporters allow highly sensitive codification ...

Double Helical Plasmonic Antennas
Plasmonic double helical antennas funnel circularly polarized light to the nanoscale, offering strong chiroptical interaction and directional light emission. Extending a single helix design tool, this study combines numerical modeling with experimental validation, revealing large, broadband dissymmetry factors in the visible range.

Defect Analysis of the β– to γ–Ga2O3 Phase Transition
The role of defects at all the relevant stages of the β$\beta$‐ to γ$\gamma$‐Ga2O3 polymorph transition is investigated using a multi method approach. The positron annihilation spectroscopy based results show that the defect density decreases after the transition, and that changes in defect configuration within the γ phase occur with increasing ...
