Market Power Mitigation in Transmission Expansion Planning Problems
The exercise of market power through network constraints in electricity markets can lead to high energy prices far from competitive prices. Traditional transmission expansion planning problem formulations do not consider strategic behavior of market agents. Therefore, they cannot capture the potential exercise of market power.

Multi-agent coalition formation in power transmission planning [PDF]
Deregulation and restructuring have become unavoidable trends to the power industry recently in order to increase its efficiency, to reduce operation costs, or to provide customers with better services. The once centralized system planning and management must be remodeled to reflect the changes in the market environment.

Probabilistic Power Flow Analysis for Hybrid HVAC and LCC-VSC HVDC System
Some innovative works have been done to probabilistic power flow (PPF) analysis for hybrid HVAC and LCC-VSC HVDC system in this paper. Firstly, a unified method considering precise model of converters is proposed to solve a general deterministic power ...

Joint Expansion Planning of Energy Storage and Transmission Considering Power System Flexibility
In order to accommodate high-penetration wind & PV power sources with strong fluctuation and randomness, the access of renewables and planning of transmission grids not only need to consider the balance of electricity, but also the balance of flexibility
