CPT Pharmacometrics Syst PharmacolABSTRACT Brensocatib, a competitive and reversible oral DPP1 inhibitor, at 10 and 25 mg significantly reduced pulmonary exacerbation burden, and 25 mg also reduced lung function decline vs. placebo in patients with non‐cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis, hereafter bronchiectasis, in ASPEN (NCT04594369).

Mol MicrobiolAGXX enhances aminoglycoside activity against multidrug‐resistant pathogens such as uropathogenic Escherichia coli by increasing reactive oxygen species, causing protein aggregation and DNA damage. This effect is reduced by oxygen limitation or antioxidants. Polyphosphate protects cells from oxidative damage.

Evaluation of ppk-Specified Polyphosphate as a Mercury Remedial Tool.
Biological and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 2001 To evaluate the utility of polyphosphate kinase gene (ppk)-specified polyphosphate in mercury remediation, a fusion plasmid, pMK27, with ppk from Klebsiella aerogenes and mercury transport genes, merT and merP, from Pseudomonas K-62, was constructed. The transcription and translation of ppk, merT and merP were found to be mercury-inducible.
