Assessing current curation, identification and digitisation practices in herbaria: Results from a global survey

The value of herbarium specimens depends largely on the accuracy and accessibility of the data captured, which is dependent on curation practices. Previous studies have shown high levels of misidentification in collections, which become more problematic with increased access.

Understanding how cooperative interactions remain stable matters for biodiversity because many plants rely on specialist insects that can also impose reproductive costs. We studied the interaction between Sambucus sieboldiana and seed‐consuming Heterhelus beetles through detailed field observations and pollination experiments.

Xylella fastidiosa is a major plant pathogen affecting crops such as grapes, citrus, almonds, and olives, with potentially severe consequences for agricultural production and rural livelihoods worldwide.
