NUMERICAL PREDICTION OF HEAT TRANSFER TO LOW-PRANDTL-NUMBER FLUIDS
Numerical Heat Transfer, 1979Numerical prediction of the heat transfer to low-Prandtl-number fluids has been carried out. A one-equation (k) turbulence model in the near-wall region and a two-equation (k ∼ e) turbulence model In the core region are employed. Many expressions proposed in the literature for the Prt numbers are examined.

Direct numerical simulation of low-Prandtl fluid flow over a confined backward facing step
International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 2019The paper presents the direct numerical simulation (DNS) of a confined backward facing (BFS) step geometry with a flow of two fluids with Prandtl numbers 0.005 and 0.1.

Aim of this paper was to appraise the magneto-hydrodynamic boundary layer flow of a Prandtl-Eyring fluid model on the top of stretched sheet. Ancillary to the same, the evolution and process of transfer of heat in the appearance of heat radiation and ...

Thermal attractor in chaotic convection with high-Prandtl-number fluids
Physical Review A, 1988The onset of chaotic convection in large-Prandtl-number fluids has been found to occur in the form of elongated cells with aperiodic boundary-layer instabilities. The dynamics of this phenomenon has been monitored in the physical domain, and also in the spectral and phase spaces.

Further Results on the Heat Transfer to Low-Prandtl-Number Fluids in Pipes
Numerical Heat Transfer, Part B: Fundamentals, 1982Abstract Numerical predictions have been made of heat transfer to low-Prandtl-number fluids in pipes with constant wall heat flux. The turbulence model employed is of the two-equation (k-)c kind in the core and the one-equation (k) kind in the near-wall region.

Numerical Simulation of Oscillatory Convection in Low Prandtl Fluids
1990Our contribution to the GAMM WORKSHOP is limited to the case A: Rigid-Rigid shallow rectangular cavity (of aspect ratio A=4) filled with low-Prandtl-number fluid (Pr=0) and submitted to a horizontal temperature gradient. Additionnal computations were carried out in order to determine the Grashof number value corresponding to the onset of instabilities (
