Pre-analytical Variables: A Potential Source of Laboratory Error
Journal of Diabetic Association Medical College, Faridpur, 2023Clinical laboratories have a great role in the management of patients. To ensure quality test results laboratories need to maintainstandards in all the three phase of total testing process- pre analytical, analytical and post-analytical. With the advancement ofmodern technologies analytical and post-analytical errors have been reduced significantly but

Possible errors at the pre-analytic stage of blood collection
Medsestra (Nurse)The share of laboratory indicators in the general diagnostic information reaches 70–80 %. Observance of regulations of a dolaboratorny preanalitichesky stage of kliniko-laboratory researches is one of the most important factors of interpretation of results of the analysis, an objective assessment of the internal environment of an organism, statement of

[Sources of error in the pre-analytical phase of blood gas analysis].
Praxis, 1995Analysis of blood gases and blood pH yield important information in many situations of clinical emergencies. We report on a patient in whom pre-analytic errors in blood gas and blood pH measurements resulted in unnecessary further investigations. We therefore studied various pre-analytic sources of error in blood pH and blood gas analysis.
