The influence of GoldbonderTM and pre‐heat treatment on the adhesion of titanium alloy and porcelain

Journal of Oral Rehabilitation, 2005
summary  The present study examines the influence of a goldbonder and pre‐heat treatment of the titanium on the adhesion of porcelain. Three groups of titanium substrates were given various heat treatments, namely; none, 200 ° and 600 °C, respectively before applying goldbonder.

The effect of pre-heat-treatments on the formation kinetics of thermal donors in silicon

physica status solidi (a), 1985
Results on the influence of different pre-heat treatments of CzSi samples on the formation of thermal donors at 450°C are given. They show that there is no influence on the thermal donor formation kinetics for most of the samples used. The time dependence of thermal donor formation can be described by Ntd(t) = Ntd, max(1 – exp (–kt)) with k = (6.2 ± 0 ...

Interstratified Structure formed from a Pre-heated Mica by Acid Treatments

Nature, 1968
IN this study we used sericite specimens of the 2M1 type. The chemical composition of one of them is shown in Table 1a. This sample was pulverized to a fine powder in an agate mortar, heated in a platinum crucible for some time (5 min–4 h), quenched to room temperature and treated with hydrochloric or sulphuric acid.

Influence of pre-heat treatment on wear resistance of 40Kh13 steel modified with nitrogen ions

Strengthening Technologies and Coatings, 2022
The mechanism of wear of 40Kh13 steel modified with nitrogen ions, subjected to preliminary heat treatment in various modes, has been investigated. It is shown that the phase composition of the nitrided layer includes chromium nitride CrN and a matrix phase α-Fe.

Pre-heat treatment study of recoil 128I in lithium and copper iodates

Journal of the Chemical Society, Faraday Transactions 1: Physical Chemistry in Condensed Phases, 1984
The effect of pre-heat treatment on the (n, γ) reaction of LiIO3 and Cu(IO3)2 targets is an increase in the initial retention in Cu(IO3)2 and decrease in LiIO3. This has been ascribed to the competitive participation of oxidizing and reducing inherent crystal defects.

The effects of microalloyed steel pre-heat treatment on microstructure and machinability

The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, 2007
An extensive study was performed in finish turning of the following microalloyed steels: as received (14.3 HRc), water-cooled (44.9 HRc), air-cooled (14.41 HRc) and furnace-cooled (9.1 HRc). The turning tests were carried out using multi-layer coated cemented carbide tools at four different cutting speeds (60, 90, 120, and 150 m/min) while feedrate and

Transcriptome analysis of heat stressed seedlings with or without pre-heat treatment in Cryptomeria japonica

Molecular Genetics and Genomics, 2020
With global warming as a major environment concern over the coming years, heat tolerance is an important trait for forest tree survival during the predicted future warmer weather conditions. Cryptomeria japonica is a coniferous species widely distributed throughout Japan, and thus, can adapt to a wide range of air temperatures.

Sintering and optical properties of transparent ZnS ceramics by pre-heating treatment temperature

Journal of Electroceramics, 2018
The main objective of our work is to increase transmittance in the mid infrared region by removing impurities through the pre-heating treatment of zinc sulfide (ZnS) produced by hydrothermal synthesis. The pre-heating treatment proceeded at 450 to 600 °C for 2 h under vacuum atmosphere (10−2 Torr).

Effects of pre-heat treatment and testing atmosphere on the joint strength of Si3N4/Al/Si3N4

Journal of Adhesion Science and Technology, 1988
When silicon nitride was joined to itself with aluminum braze, pre-heat treatment of silicon nitride before joining at 1073 and 1223 K in air and in vacuum had two remarkable benefits on the properties of the joints. One was that the silica or silicate layer formed on the surface improved the joint strength by promoting the wettability of molten ...
