Effects of pre-heating treatment on the annealing behaviour of cold-drawn fire-refined coppers
Journal of Materials Science, 2001The influence of hydrogen, oxygen and lead contents on the thermo-mechanical properties of fire-refined copper has been studied and related to the decrease of its hydrogen and oxygen content by the heat treatment known as pre-heating. Fire-refined coppers contain between 0.5 and 0.7 weight ppm of hydrogen, and usually more than 50 weight ppm of lead ...

Abstract Low carbon steel cannot meet the requirements of most manufacturing and production industry in modern society due to its limited strength. In recent years, ultrafine-grained (UFG) structure steel with grain size below 1 µm has been studied aggressively, because they are expected to provide superior mechanical properties.

International Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering, 2011
The production of case hardened parts involves a number of heat treatment steps with different influences on the grain size stability. Microalloyed steels in particular, which are expected to be very stable, tend to react quite sensitive to additional heat treatments.

Effects of pre-heat treatment of CdS on MOCVD CdTe/CdS solar cell performance
IEEE Conference on Photovoltaic Specialists, 2002Preheat treatment of CdS/SnO/sub 2//glass substrates prior to CdTe growth was investigated to improve the CdTe/CdS cell performance. The substrates were annealed in an H/sub 2/ atmosphere range of 300 to 450 degrees C. N-i-p cells fabricated on these substrates showed a reduction of interface states with increasing annealing temperature.

Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces, 2001
Several important technical properties of spray-dried food powders depend on particle-liquid interactions (e.g. wettability, dispersability) and particle-particle interactions (e.g. flowability). It can be assumed that the chemical composition of the surface layer of the particles to a large extent determine these properties. The present study has been
