Pre‐stressed Reinforced Concrete Pipes
Anti-Corrosion Methods and Materials, 1962Improved current distribution from suitably selected deep groundbeds may be achieved as compared with conventional surface groundbeds. This is of considerable importance in municipal areas where interference problems with other sub‐soil structures are inevitable.

BOND IN PRE-STRESSED CONCRETE.
Journal of the Institution of Civil Engineers, 1949Synopsis. Existing literature on pre-stressed concrete failed to provide sufficient information on certain points which, basically, me dependent on the bond in pre-stressed concrete. Experiments were carried out, therefore, to investigate those points by further examination of the subject of the pre-stressed-concrete bond; those experiments are ...

Blast Tests on Pre-Stressed Concrete Slabs
2023The behaviour of reinforced concrete under blast loading is well understood. However, the behaviour of pre-stressed concrete under higher levels of pre-stressing, subjected to blast loading, has not been studied extensively. A blast testing program on pre-stressed, concrete slabs was established to define design acceptance criteria for pre-stressed ...

According to experimental record of bridges in use, more and more damage bridges have appeared, and the most common and severe defect is the bridge damage and cracking problem, which has seriously affected the normal usage of bridges. Analyzing the disease cause of defective bridges more effectively and deeply, in order to optimize the design and ...

Abstract: In this study, stochastic analyses of pre‐stress losses in two pre‐stressed concrete beams are carried out, and the results of the analyses are compared with those obtained from the laboratory experimental investigations. The deterministic models given in ACI 209 (with modelling error) are used for predicting the pre‐stress losses.

Nonlinear shear strength of pre-stressed concrete beams
Structural Engineering and Mechanics, 2012The shear strength is an important factor in the design of prestressed concrete beams. Therefore, researchers have utilized various methods to determine the shear strength of these elements for the design purposes. To evaluate some of the proposed theoretical methods, numerous models of posttensioned beams with or without vertical prestressing are ...
