Controlled Synthesis of Tri‐ and Multi‐Doped Graphene

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This review systematically evaluates synthesis routes for tri‐ and multi‐doped graphene, from hydrothermal and pyrolysis methods to flash Joule heating, critically assessing how each governs dopant incorporation, bonding configuration, and resulting electronic properties.

Measurement and modelling of the transient thermal-mechanical strain field during GMA welding [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The state of residual stress in welded joints is a well-studied topic, and many methodsof residual stress measurement are now available. However, far less is known aboutthe transient strains which occur during the welding process, even though these ...

Thermoplastic Dielectric Coatings for Flexible Electrodynamic Dust Shields: Structural and Functional Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Thermoplastic attachment is introduced as a scalable surface coating strategy to improve the durability and dielectric reliability of flexible electrodynamic dust shields. By embedding chemically modified reduced graphene oxide (CMrGO) electrodes within thermoplastic laminates, mechanical degradation, abrasion damage, and vacuum‐induced electrical ...

Stress-strain behaviour of high-strength concrete with lateral pre-tensioning confinement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
High-strength concrete is currently being used in columns of multi-storey building all over the world. Although, it offers superior properties, it is relatively a brittle material.

Deep Eutectic Solvent‐Enhanced PEDOT: PSS/NR Foam Piezoresistive Sensor for High‐Sensitivity Wearable Devices and Sleep Monitoring Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A high‐performance piezoresistive foam sensor is developed by integrating natural rubber, PEDOT: PSS, and a deep eutectic solvent (DES). DES effectively detaches insulating PSS from PEDOT, dramatically amplifying electrical conductivity and sensitivity.

Structural properties of tensioning air beam system (TABS) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
p. 2212-2220Light weight structures have much structural merits than ordinary building element in roof structure. Tensioning Air Beam System (TABS) which consists of air beam and cable strut is a light weight structure system and hybrid system.

Fexibility of Bridges Built Using the Cantilever Method

open access: yesRomanian Journal of Transport Infrastructure
The cantilever concreting technology is one of modern methods of constructing the concrete long-span bridges. The fundamental features of this method are saving of materials and of construction costs (especially of scaffolding and of formwork) and first ...

Smart Electrospun Nanofibers for Controlled Oil‐Water Separation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Stimuli‐responsive electrospun nanofibers are reviewed as advanced platforms for controlled oil/water separation. The effects of surface wettability, porous structure, and external stimuli, including pH, temperature, gas, and light, on separation performance are discussed.

Behaviour of Steel Strapping Tensioning Technique (SSTT) confined high-strength concrete with different lateral pre-tensioning stresses

open access: yes, 2013
This paper presents the results of an experimental and analytical study on the application of Steel Strapping Tensioning Technique (SSTT) confinement on twelve high-strength concrete cylinder specimens with dimension of 100 mm and 200 mm in diameter and ...
