A CMOS preamplifier for electret microphones
Proceedings of ISCAS'95 - International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002In this paper a CMOS preamplifier for capacitive sources is presented. The 20 dB gain preamplifier achieves a dynamic range of 54 dB while the total harmonic distortion is below -50 dB. Monte Carlo analyses have shown output random offset voltages below 40 mvolts. Noise in distributed MESFET preamplifiers
IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 1996The theory of noise in a distributed MESFET preamplifier is developed. From this, it is shown that the equivalent input noise current density of a distributed preamplifier of an optical receiver can be improved by using large gate line matching impedance and appropriate scaling of the MESFET width.
