This study reveals a pivotal epigenetic regulatory role for the histone acetyltransferase p300, demonstrating that its acetylation of histone 3 at lysine 18 and 27 (H3K18ac and H3K27ac), alongside the formation of the p300/BRD4/SP1 complex, drives AR activation and ovarian fibrosis in PCOS.

Insulin-like growth factors (IGFs) are known for their involvement in endocrine and paracrine regulation of ovarian function. Although IGF2 is the predominant circulating and intraovarian form of IGFs in primate species, the stage-specific follicular ...

Anti-Müllerian hormone overexpression restricts preantral ovarian follicle survival [PDF]
Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) is an ovarian regulator that affects folliculogenesis. AMH inhibits the developmental activation of the dormant primordial follicles and the oocyte within. In more mature follicles, AMH reduces granulosa cell sensitivity to follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).

Disrupted neurovascular coupling contributes to ovarian dysfunction in polycystic ovary syndrome. Using near‑infrared II long‑wavelength imaging, this study visualizes how electroacupuncture dynamically regulates ovarian blood vessels in vivo. Immediate and cumulative stimulation elicit distinct vascular responses via a Netrin‐1 dependent mechanism ...

Mechanisms of chemotherapy-induced human ovarian aging: double strand DNA breaks and microvascular compromise [PDF]
The mechanism of chemotherapy-induced acceleration of ovarian aging is not fully understood. We used doxorubicin, a widely used cancer chemotherapeutic, in a variety of in vivo xenograft, and in vitro models to investigate the impact of chemotherapy ...

Abstract The equine ovary exhibits unique structural and developmental features that distinguish it from those of other domestic species, including the presence of an ovulation fossa and an inversion of cortical and medullary layers. This study aimed to investigate the morphostructural development of the equine fetal ovary, with particular emphasis on ...
