The evolution of the surface of the mineral schreibersite in prebiotic chemistry
We demonstrate a synthesis of the meteoritic mineral schreibersite (Fe,Ni)3P, study its surface chemistry, and show prebiotic phosphorylation.

ABSTRACT The etiopathogenesis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) encompasses complex interactions between genetic and environmental risk factors. The high prevalence of gastrointestinal disorders in autistic individuals has propelled a growing interest in the possible involvement of gut dysbiosis in ASD pathogenesis.

Chlorella vulgaris biorefineries: sustainable biofuels and high‐value carbon capture
Abstract Global reliance on fossil fuels has created urgent economic and environmental challenges, yet large‐scale use of algal biomass remains limited by production costs. Industrial scaling is constrained by inefficient harvesting and the technical challenges of processing recalcitrant cell walls.

ABSTRACT Traditional biochemistry instruction often emphasizes mechanistic detail, that is, how molecules and pathways function, without equally addressing why they have their present forms. This fact‐centered approach can leave students overwhelmed and disconnected from the broader scientific narrative.

This study reports the development of AMS@Eud core‐shell microspheres, combining calcium alginate and pH‐responsive Eudragit® L100, which exhibit exceptional gastrointestinal resistance and long‐term storage stability (only 5.28%–9.09% viability loss over 35 days at 4–25°C), and effectively alleviate inflammatory bowel disease via gut microbiota ...

Prebiotic evolution: Selecting for homochirality before RNA [PDF]
Recent results show that the self-assembly of long homochiral oligomers of a nucleotide analogue can be achieved by ligation of short oligomers of chirally mixed composition. Do these results show how the RNA world might have arisen?

A Necessary Condition for Coexistence of Autocatalytic Replicators in a Prebiotic Environment
A necessary, but not sufficient, mathematical condition for the coexistence of short replicating species is presented here. The mathematical condition is obtained for a prebiotic environment, simulated as a fed-batch reactor, which combines monomer ...
