Canopy influence on trace metal atmospheric inputs on forest ecosystems: Speciation in throughfall [PDF]
Trace Metal (TM: Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb, Sb and Zn) atmospheric inputs have been studied on six forested sites. In order to evaluate canopy interaction with atmospheric inputs, TM have been measured in both Open Field Precipitation (OFP) and Throughfall (TF ...

On the Sensitivity of the Precipitation Partitioning Into Evapotranspiration and Runoff in Land Surface Parameterizations [PDF]
AbstractThe precipitation partitioning between evapotranspiration (ET) and runoff (R) at the land surface is controlled by atmospheric boundary layer and terrestrial hydrological processes. These processes in land surface models are manifested primarily as stomatal conductance, soil moisture limitation factor to transpiration (β‐factor), turbulence ...

Estimates of the climatological land surface energy and water balance derived from maximum convective power [PDF]
The land surface energy and water balances are tightly coupled by the partitioning of absorbed solar radiation into terrestrial radiation and the turbulent fluxes of sensible and latent heat, as well as the partitioning of precipitation into evaporation ...

Modeling of Convective–Stratiform Precipitation Processes: Sensitivity to Partitioning Methods [PDF]
Abstract Six different convective–stratiform separation techniques are compared and evaluated using 2D numerical simulations of a tropical and a midlatitude continental squall line. The techniques used include a texture algorithm applied to surface rainfall, a similar algorithm but with additional criteria applied to vertical velocity and cloud, a ...

Crowdsourced Data Highlight Precipitation Phase Partitioning Variability in Rain‐Snow Transition Zone [PDF]
To increase the number of direct observations of rain and snow, we started a citizen science project that crowdsources precipitation phase reports from volunteers using a smartphone app.

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.
