Validity of Platelia Aspergillus IgG and Aspergillus Precipitin Test To Distinguish Pulmonary Aspergillosis from Colonization [PDF]

open access: yesMicrobiology Spectrum, 2023
When Aspergillus, an ubiquitous, saprophytic fungus, is detected in respiratory tract specimens collected from chronic respiratory disease patients, it is important to determine whether it is a true infection or colonization.

Capsular polysaccharide determines the serotyping of Riemerella anatipestifer [PDF]

open access: yesMicrobiology Spectrum, 2023
Riemerella anatipestifer (R. anatipestifer) is a Gram-negative pathogen that causes significant economic losses to the farming industry. The polysaccharides that determine serotype are well understood in other bacteria; they have not yet been fully ...

Interpretation of the Ouchterlony Precipitin Test [PDF]

open access: bronzeThe Journal of Immunology, 1955
Summary Under ordinary test conditions specific precipitates in the agar plate do not interfere with the free diffusion of unrelated antigens and antibodies. Identical antigens always give rise to fusion of their specific precipitates. Unrelated antigens may produce complete intersection, partial intersection or fusion of their specific ...

The double diffusion precipitin test in human fascioliasis [PDF]

open access: bronzeJournal of Clinical Pathology, 1970
The recent outbreaks of human fascioliasis in Britain provided the opportunity for employing the double diffusion precipitin test in the diagnosis of this disease. In sensitivity and specificity this test appears to equal the complement-fixation test and has the advantages of simplicity and speed in its performance.

Concordance between Aspergillus-specific precipitating antibody and IgG in allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis

open access: yesAllergology International, 2018
s: Background: Several serological tests for specific precipitin or IgG are available to demonstrate type III hypersensitivity reactions to Aspergillus species and are essential for infectious fungal disease diagnosis.
