Precise asymptotics in the complete moment convergence of record times and the associated counting process(纪录时刻及其计数过程矩完全收敛的精确渐近性)

open access: yesZhejiang Daxue xuebao. Lixue ban, 2010
设{Xn, n≥1}是i.i.d.连续型随机变量,μ(n)为记录时刻对应的计数过程,记N为服从标准正态分布的随机变量,证明了µ(n)矩完全收敛的精确渐近性,即当1 < p < 2, δ >-1时 ...

Enabling Stochastic Dynamic Games for Robotic Swarms

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This paper scales stochastic dynamic games to large swarms of robots through selective agent modeling and variable partial belief space planning. We formulate these games using a belief space variant of iterative Linear Quadratic Gaussian (iLQG). We scale to teams of 50 agents through selective modeling based on the estimated influence of agents ...

Electroencephalogram‐Driven Recognition of Parkinson's Disease Through a Mycelium‐Inspired Memristive Reservoir Computing Circuit

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This work presents a bio‐inspired computing framework for Parkinson's disease analog recognition using electroencephalogram signals. Temporally encoded EEG features stimulate a mycelium‐inspired memristive reservoir, where disease‐related patterns emerge through physical spatiotemporal dynamics.

How cold is too cold? A theoretical analysis of the optimal trigger for index insurance for frost damage to crops

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Crop insurance is undoubtedly an extremely valuable element in protecting agricultural businesses, but in many cases standard indemnity‐based products have had very low uptake due to high transaction costs elevating premiums to unaffordable levels.

Precise spectral asymptotics for perturbed magnetic Schrödinger operator

open access: yesJournal de Mathématiques Pures et Appliquées, 1997
For a Schrödinger operator \(H_B\) with a constant nondegenerate magnetic tensor \(B\), perturbed by an electric potential \(V\) decaying at infinity, two types of spectral asymptotics are considered: 1) a series of eigenvalues of \(H_B+ V\) in a gap of the essential spectrum \(\sigma_{\text{ess}}(H_B)\) of \(H_B\), and 2) the number of eigenvalue ...

Accounting for animal health in efficiency analysis: An application to Swedish dairy farms

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Poor animal health is a central concern in modern livestock production. Despite the necessity to incorporate animal health in efficiency analysis, the theoretical and empirical developments are limited on this subject. This article appropriately characterizes the axiomatic properties of animal health within a production framework.
