On Equivalence of GSVD-SLNR Precoding and JD-SLNR Precoding
2019GSVD-SLNR precoding and JD-SLNR precoding are two remarkable linear precoding schemes in downlink MU-MIMO systems. Both of them outperform the original SLNR precoding with considerable gains in terms of bit error rate. However, the relationship of such two schemes has not been investigated yet.

An Iterative Precoder Design for Successive Zero-Forcing Precoded Systems
IEEE Communications Letters, 2012Successive zero-forcing (SZF) is a precoding technique for broadcast channels that partially precancels the multiuser interference. Due to the residual interference, the optimal precoder design for SZF is difficult to find, and currently unknown. This letter proposes a suboptimal iterative precoder design for the sum rate maximization problem for SZF ...

Pseudo-random phase precoded spatial modulation and precoder index modulation
2014 IEEE Global Communications Conference, 2014Spatial modulation (SM) is a transmission scheme that uses multiple transmit antennas but only one transmit RF chain. At each time instant, only one among the transmit antennas will be active and the others remain silent. The index of the active transmit antenna will also convey information bits in addition to the information bits conveyed through ...

Unitary and Non-Unitary Precoders for a Limited Feedback Precoded OSTBC System
Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on, 2013In this paper, a multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) system with finite-bit feedback first proposed by Love-Heath is considered, where a transmitted signal consists of a precode followed by an orthogonal space-time block code (OSTBC), such as Alamouti code.

Zero-forcing Precoder: A Special Constructive Interference Precoder for PSK Signals
2019 53rd Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems, and Computers, 2019Recently, constructive interference precoders have been considered for downlink communication systems to utilize the multiuser interference constructively. Such precoders are normally obtained by solving constrained optimization problems at each symbol period. We demonstrate that there exists an analytic solution to a constructive interference precoder

In multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels with discrete input alphabets, at high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), maximizing the minimum Euclidean distance (d min ) between all possible received constellation points is known to be the optimal precoding strategy. However, finding the optimal precoder has been proved to be NP-hard.

On precoding diversity in cognitive networks
2016 23rd International Conference on Telecommunications (ICT), 2016In this paper, we propose an adaptive linear pre-coder design for an underlay cognitive radio (CR) multiuser MIMO broadcasting system. The proposed adaptive precoder employs regularized channel inversion based on the minimum mean square error (MMSE) criterion.

Precoded visible light communications
2013 9th International Conference on Information, Communications & Signal Processing, 2013Multiple input multiple output (MIMO) technology appears attractive for indoor visible light communication (VLC) systems as multiple light-emitting diodes (LED) sources are typically deployed for indoor environment. Most of current indoor MIMO VLC systems utilize single user terminal scenario to investigate the performance of the system.

MIMO Wireless Linear Precoding
IEEE Signal Processing Magazine, 2007This article provides a tutorial of linear precoding for a frequency- flat, single-user MIMO wireless system, examining both theoretical foundations and practical issues. The article first discusses principles for CSIT (channel-side information at the transmitter) acquisition and develops a dynamic CSIT model, which spans perfectly to statistical CSIT,

Robust Tomlinson-Harashima Precoding
2005 IEEE 16th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2006Tomlinson-Harashima precoding (THP) for a wireless system with multiple cooperative transmitters and non-cooperative receivers is considered (downlink channel). In the literature THP has been optimized for this channel assuming complete channel state information (CSI).
