Assessment of insecticide use practices in licensed pest control operators in North Carolina
A statewide survey of 105 licensed North Carolina pesticide operators found ants, mosquitoes, and aphids as top target pests, pyrethroids as the dominant insecticide class (68%), and limited resistance monitoring, establishing a baseline for future insecticide resistance management and outreach.

Differences in the suitability of invasive alien plants as hosts drove variations in cascading bottom‐up effects in aphid host and parasitoid performance, potentially influencing top‐down regulation. Abstract BACKGROUND Invasive alien plants (IAP) can threaten biodiversity by disrupting trophic interactions and, consequently, affect agroecosystems by ...

Leaf morpho‐anatomical traits act as context‐dependent structural defenses, modulating herbivore preference, feeding, survival, development, and reproduction through complex interactions shaped by plant traits and herbivore functional groups. Abstract BACKGROUND Morpho‐anatomical leaf traits play a central role in the bottom‐up modulation of plant ...

The predatory effect of the honey‐buzzard affects the reproductive performance of Asian‐hornet colonies, decreasing the density of workers over distance and time. The foraging distances of the honey‐buzzard concentrates within the first 2000 m from nest, which supports the results observed.
