Journal of Diabetes Investigation, EarlyView.Unsupervised clustering of 295 Japanese adults with impaired glucose tolerance identified three distinct prediabetes subtypes based on HbA1c, HOMA‐β, HOMA‐IR, and HDL‐cholesterol. These subtypes showed different risks of developing type 2 diabetes and varied responses to lifestyle intervention over 6 years.
