IntroductionHabituation, or loss of clinical benefit over time, is a frequent problem in spinal cord stimulation (SCS). Existing programming strategies such as waveform cycling or closed-loop stimulation try to address it, but there is no common ...

Human cerebellum and ventral tegmental area interact during extinction of learned fear
The key elements for fear extinction learning are unexpected omissions of expected aversive events, which are considered to be rewarding. Given its reception of reward information, we tested the hypothesis that the cerebellum contributes to reward-like ...

Predicting Errors in Concurrent Systems

Strong mnemonic prediction errors increase cognitive control, attention, and arousal
Ongoing experience is continuously processed in the context of past events. Divergence between current experience and memory-based predictions (i.e., a mnemonic prediction error; MPE) is theorized to be a signal that encoding, as opposed to retrieval ...

Predicting the Encoding Error of SIRENs
Implicit Neural Representations (INRs), which encode signals such as images, videos, and 3D shapes in the weights of neural networks, are becoming increasingly popular. Among their many applications is signal compression, for which there is great interest in achieving the highest possible fidelity to the original signal subject to constraints such as ...

Prediction in measurement error models
We study the well known difficult problem of prediction in measurement error models. By targeting directly at the prediction interval instead of the point prediction, we construct a prediction interval by providing estimators of both the center and the length of the interval which achieves a pre-determined prediction level.
