Neurologic Outcome Prediction in the Intensive Care Unit
Continuum, 2021The burden of severe and disabling neurologic injury on survivors, families, and society can be profound. Neurologic outcome prediction, or neuroprognostication, is a complex undertaking with many important ramifications. It allows patients with good prognoses to be supported aggressively, survive, and recover; conversely, it avoids inappropriate ...

Performance degradation prediction of hydropower unit based on grey prediction model
Fifth International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing, 2014A performance degradation model of hydropower unit is proposed based on three-dimensional surface. In the model, the influence of active power and working head of hydropower unit is analyzed. The grey prediction model (GM (1, 1) model) is used to predict the performance degradation trend of hydropower unit.

Fast and efficient prediction unit size selection for HEVC intra prediction
2012 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communications Systems, 2012In this paper, a fast learning-based Coding Unit (CU) size selection method is presented for High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) intra prediction. Our analysis shows that non-normalized histogram of oriented gradient (n-HOG) can be used to select CU size.

INDIVIDUAL OUTCOME PREDICTION MODELS FOR INTENSIVE CARE UNITS
The Lancet, 1989Prognostic criteria based on static analysis of group statistics do not help much in decisions to withhold or withdraw therapy from intensive care unit (ICU) patients too ill to benefit, since they do not provide adequate information on the features that distinguish non-survivors from survivors.

Outcome Prediction in Greek Neonatal Intensive Care Units
Pediatrics, 1998The comparison of outcome of clinical management policies, irrespective of the clinical discipline, is difficult because of the need to compare like with like. The severity level of the disorder, for which clinical management comparison is being made, is a crucial variable.

Prediction of prokaryotic promoters based on prediction of transcriptional units.
Sheng wu hua xue yu sheng wu wu li xue bao Acta biochimica et biophysica Sinica, 2003Identification of promoters is very important in understanding gene regulating relationships in an organism, and computational identification of promoters has been a long standing problem in computational biology. A new method was presented to predict promoter regions in prokaryotic organism.
