A Robust Predictive Current Controller for PMSM Drives
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2016High-performance current control is required to obtain a smooth output torque in permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drives. In this manner, a new discrete-time robust predictive current controller is presented for PMSM drives. Controller and current prediction schemes are designed based on the dead-beat structure.

CURRENT HARMONIC COMPENSATION USING PREDICTIVE CONTROLLERS
Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 2004The power quality has become a major concern since late 1980's. There has been increasing interest in studying power quality problems, one of which is the existence of the current/voltage harmonics. In order to eliminate these harmonics, different methods have so far been proposed and developed.

Predictive control of modular current source converters
IECON 2014 - 40th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2014Current source converters (CSC) are used in AC-Drives and Electrochemical applications requiring large and controlled currents. Usually, a controller/modulating block using pulse width modulation is employed to provide current control. Although, several works describing predictive controllers have been presented for both two-level and multilevel ...

Predictive Current Control of a Voltage Source Inverter
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2007This paper presents a predictive current control method and its application to a voltage source inverter. The method uses a discrete-time model of the system to predict the future value of the load current for all possible voltage vectors generated by the inverter. The voltage vector which minimizes a quality function is selected.

Nonparametric Predictive Current Control for PMSM
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2020Conventional finite-control set model predictive current control predicts the motor behavior for every switching state and selects the voltage vector that can minimize the cost functions as an optimum voltage vector. To get rid of the model parameter dependency, a finite-control set nonparametric predictive current control (NPCC) was proposed before ...

Predictive Current Control of Doubly Fed Induction Generators
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2009This paper presents a predictive current control (PCC) strategy for doubly fed induction generators (DFIGs). The method predicts the DFIG's rotor current variations in the synchronous reference frame fixed to the stator flux within a fixed sampling period.

Deadbeat predictive current control for PMSM
2012 15th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference (EPE/PEMC), 2012In this paper a predictive current control for PMSM based on dead-beat algorithm is proposed, in the synchronous rotary frame, to improve the performance of current loop. Based on the mathematical model of PMSM the current controller calculated the expected voltage vector directly in terms of the current reference and feedback values, after that ...

Model predictive direct current control
2010 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology, 2010This paper presents a model predictive current controller and its application to ac electrical drives. In a stationary reference frame, the proposed control scheme keeps the α and β currents within given hysteresis bounds while minimizing the switching frequency of the inverter.

A modified predictive current controller for PMSM
4th IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems. IEEE PEDS 2001 - Indonesia. Proceedings (Cat. No.01TH8594), 2002In a digital system, there are inevitable delays in calculations and applying the inverter output voltages to the motor terminals. A new predictive current controller, considering the delays, for a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is presented. The effectiveness and feasibilities are shown by experimental results.

Predictive control of current source rectifier
2015 Selected Problems of Electrical Engineering and Electronics (WZEE), 2015The paper presents a new predictive control strategy of current source rectifier (CSR) supplied from the grid. The algorithm chooses proper space vector of CSR according to the predicted value of the grid current and predicted value of the capacitor voltage.
