Psychological Test Validity [PDF]
This paper presents a theoretical overview of current aspects about the validity problems of psychological tests. The article demonstrates the importance of the development of psychological tests and the scientific studies of their validity, describes ...

Relapsing–Remitting Multiple Sclerosis Is Associated With a Dysbiotic Oral Microbiome
ABSTRACT Objective Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic autoimmune disorder characterized by inflammation, demyelination, and neurological impairment. While the gut microbiota's role in MS is extensively studied, the association between the oral microbiota and MS remains underexplored, particularly in North American cohorts.

Onthological models predictively inequivalent to quantum theory
Recently, it has been argued that no extension of quantum theory can have improved predictive power under a strong assumption of free choice of the experimental settings and validity of quantum mechanics.

Predictive validity of the short-term assessment of risk and treatability (START) for aggression and self-harm in a secure mental health service:gender differences [PDF]
The START predicts aggressive outcomes and to some extent self-harm. However, it is not known whether gender moderates its performance. This study used routinely collected data to investigate the predictive ability of the START for aggression and self ...

The Increasing Predictive Validity of Self-Rated Health
Using the 1980 to 2002 General Social Survey, a repeated cross-sectional study that has been linked to the National Death Index through 2008, this study examines the changing relationship between self-rated health and mortality.

ABSTRACT Introduction Neuronal pentraxin 2 (NPTX2) is a synaptic protein involved in synaptic plasticity and regulation of neuronal excitability. Lower baseline cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) NPTX2 levels have been shown to be associated with an earlier onset of mild cognitive impairment (MCI), a pre‐dementia syndrome, even after CSF Alzheimer's Disease (AD)

Using the implicit association test to assess risk propensity self-concept: analysis of its predictive validity on a risk-tak ing behaviour in a natural setting [PDF]
The present work analyses the predictive validity of measures provided by several available self-report and indirect measurement instruments to assess risk propensity (RP) and proposes a measurement instrument using the Implicit Association Test: the IAT

Cross-Validated Bagged Prediction of Survival
In this article, we show how to apply our previously proposed Deletion/Substitution/Addition algorithm in the context of right-censoring for the prediction of survival. Furthermore, we introduce how to incorporate bagging into the algorithm to obtain a cross-validated bagged estimator.
