Tmx2 Maintains Mitochondrial Function to Support Preimplantation Embryogenesis

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 39, Issue 11, 15 June 2025.
TMX2 is a member of the thioredoxin‐related transmembrane protein family. It exhibits specific expression in mouse preimplantation embryos, and its subcellular localization is closely associated with mitochondria. Knockdown of Tmx2 in embryos results in a reduction in mitochondrial number, a decline in mitochondrial membrane potential, and an elevation

GLS1‐Mediated Redundancy in Glutamate Accelerates Arterial Calcification via Activating NMDAR/Ca2+/β‐Catenin Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 21, June 5, 2025.
GLS1 is a novel contributor to arterial calcification. GLS1‐catalyzed glutamate exerts the promoting effects on osteogenic reprogramming in arteries. NMDAR, a glutamate receptor, is also activated and overexpressed during arterial calcification.

CXCL13 Damages Blood Spinal Cord Barrier by Promoting RNF6/Sqstm1‐Ubiquitination Induced Autophagy in Experimental Allergic Encephalomyelitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 21, June 5, 2025.
In multiple sclerosis, the disruption of the blood‐spinal cord barrier (BSCB) induced by CXCL13 facilitates the infiltration of inflammatory cells into the central nervous system, resulting in demyelination and neuronal injury. Mechanistically, the deleterious impact of CXCL13 on the BSCB is associated with a reduction in tight junction protein ...

Dermoscopy Assisting Diagnosis of Dermal Melanocytosis Limited to the Hand

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 6, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Acquired dermal melanocytosis (ADM) is a skin disorder characterized by the presence of melanocytes in the dermis. The face is the most common site of ADM. ADM can be difficult to diagnose when it occurs in an unusual clinical setting.

Association Between Hormonal Factors and Risk of Lung and Upper Aerodigestive Tract Cancer in French Women: The E3N Prospective Cohort Study

open access: yesCancer Reports, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Significant sex disparities exist in the incidence of lung and upper aero‐digestive tract (UADT) cancers. Inverse relationships have often been observed between exposure to hormonal factors and these cancers. Data from epidemiological studies are still inconsistent.

Effectiveness of Recombinant Human Bone Morphogenetic Protein‐2 in Socket Preservation: A Randomized Controlled Clinical and Sequential Human Histological Trial (BMP‐2 TRIAL)

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Dental Research, Volume 11, Issue 3, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Objectives The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein‐2 (rhBMP‐2) coated biphasic calcium phosphate (BCP) in socket preservation in comparison to BCP. Material and Methods Patients who underwent extraction of maxillary premolars were randomized to receive rhBMP‐2/BCP (n = 15) and BCP
