Synaptic and functional linkages between spinal premotor interneurons and hand-muscle activity during precision grip

open access: yesFrontiers in Computational Neuroscience, 2013
Grasping is a highly complex movement that requires the coordination of a number of hand joints and muscles. Previous studies showed that spinal premotor interneurons (PreM-INs) in the primate cervical spinal cord have divergent synaptic effects on hand ...

Kubernetes Deployment Options for On-Prem Clusters

open access: yesCoRR
Over the last decade, the Kubernetes container orchestration platform has become essential to many scientific workflows. Despite its popularity, deploying a production-ready Kubernetes cluster on-premises can be challenging for system administrators. Many of the proprietary integrations that application developers take for granted in commercial cloud ...

A highly accurate, low‐cost method for detecting and quantifying soybean leaf flipping phenotype during drought stress

open access: yesThe Plant Phenome Journal, Volume 9, Issue 1, December 2026.
Abstract A genome‐wide association study (GWAS) using digital images was conducted to delineate regions of the genome that govern the leaf flipping quantitative trait in soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr). However, converting the digital data to numerical scores for downstream analyses was challenging.

Evaluation of a Pharmacist‐Led Intervention Focused on the Deprescribing of Cardiovascular and Antidiabetic Medication in Older Patients With Polypharmacy: Patients' and Pharmacists' Experiences

open access: yesBasic &Clinical Pharmacology &Toxicology, Volume 138, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background In the Netherlands, community pharmacists (CPs) are required to conduct annual clinical medication reviews (CMRs) for older patients with polypharmacy. In practice, these reviews are insufficiently implemented, and opportunities to deprescribe inappropriate cardiovascular and antidiabetic medications are often missed.

Spin Transition of Fe3+ in δ‐(Al,Fe)OOH and Implication for Mid‐Lower Mantle Seismic Heterogeneities

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 10, 28 May 2026.
Abstract δ‐(Al,Fe)OOH is an important water carrier and plays a critical role on Earth's deep water cycle. Lattice parameters of δ‐(Al0.89Fe0.11)OOH were measured by synchrotron single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction at simultaneously high temperature and pressure up to 65 GPa and 800 K in diamond anvil cells.
