Premature menopause management.
Australian family physician, 1992Premature menopause is most commonly iatrogenic, but may be due to an autoimmune or other ovarian disorder, or it may be idiopathic. The diagnosis is established by a raised serum FSH. Fertility can only be reliably achieved using donor oocytes; otherwise oestrogen replacement therapy should be offered.
