Synthesis of functionalized polyolefins in a new continuous bench‐scale reactor apparatus
Abstract In‐reactor functionalized polyolefins (FPOs), produced by molecular catalysts, are a new class of polymer materials with applications ranging from high performance adhesives to bitumen compatibilization. In this work, we disclose a procedure for the synthesis of FPOs in a new Continuous Bench‐scale Reactor Apparatus (COBRA).

Thermal Calculations for Co‐Firing of Hydrogen/Ammonia and Coal in 660‐MW Coal‐Fired Boilers
ABSTRACT To achieve a clean energy transition under the dual carbon goals, blending hydrogen/ammonia into pulverized coal boilers represents a key technological pathway. Different hydrogen/ammonia co‐firing ratios (5%–50%) are investigated for their impact on the thermodynamic characteristics of 660‐MW supercritical boiler at 100% and 20% boiler ...

A Level Set Approach for a Premixed Flame Based on a New Concept of Flame Speed
In this paper we propose a new level set approach to describe not only a flame's surface but also to the flame's spatial distribution. First, we derived the mathematical formulation for a one-dimensional laminar premixed flame, where the steady

FEC and sulfone‐based co‐solvents are investigated as EC‐free electrolytes for LNMO∥LTO cells. FEC‐containing electrolytes demonstrate enhanced electrochemical stability by stabilizing the CEI and SEI layers, mitigating transition metal migration. Conversely, sulfone electrolytes form thinner CEIs and thick, sulfur‐rich SEIs, which are less effective ...

Studies of premixed and non-premixed hydrogen flames [PDF]
Abstract The hydrogen oxidation chemistry constitutes the foundation of the kinetics of all carbon- and hydrogen-containing fuels. The validation of rate constants of hydrogen-related reactions can be complicated by uncertainties associated with experimental data caused by the high reactivity and diffusivity of hydrogen.

Global and Detailed Calculation of Tube Wall Temperature in a Process Furnace Steam Superheater
This study presents a comparison between an iterative global model and multiple approaches to a new non‐iterative model with the purpose of predicting tube wall temperature of a superheater. The results show that the non‐iterative method achieves sufficient accuracy while improving the prediction of local temperature distribution and better ...

Abstract NOx emissions from gas boilers severely impact the environment, and flue gas recirculation (FGR) technology can effectively reduce such emissions, yet the effects of different FGR rates on combustion performance and NOx formation remain unclear. This study thus used numerical simulation (via ANSYS Fluent, adopting the realizable k‐ε turbulence
