Turbulent Premixed Combustion in SI Engine
The turbulent lean premixed combustion simulation is implemented in 4- stroke spark ignition (SI) engine. The Turbulent Flame speed Closure model (TFC) is used in different turbulent flow conditions.

Probabilistic deep learning of turbulent premixed combustion
A probabilistic data-driven approach that models the filtered reaction rate in large-eddy simulation (LES) is investigated. We propose a novel framework that incorporates a conditional generative adversarial network and a Gaussian mixture model to take ...

Dataset for transient 3D simulations of turbulent premixed flames of Gas-to-Liquid (GTL) fuel
A fan-stirred combustion vessel is used to study the premixed turbulent combustion of diesel, Gas to Liquids (GTL) and 50/50 diesel-GTL and to generate these datasets.

A Combustion Regime-Based Model for Large Eddy Simulation
The aim of this work is to propose a unified (generalized) closure of the chemical source term in the context of Large Eddy Simulation able to cover all the regimes of turbulent premixed combustion.

Combustion Regimes in Turbulent Non-Premixed Flames for Space Propulsion
Direct numerical simulations of non-premixed fuel-rich methane–oxygen flames at 20 bar are conducted to investigate the turbulent mixing burning of gaseous propellants in rocket engines. The reacting flow is simulated by using an EBI-DNS solver within an

A Lagrangian-based flame index for the transported probability density function method
We propose a new flame index for the transported probability density function (PDF) method. The flame index uses mixing flux projections of Lagrangian particles on mixture fraction and progress variable directions as the metrics to identify the ...

Lagrangian Formulation of Turbulent Premixed Combustion [PDF]
The Lagrangian point of view is adopted to study turbulent premixed combustion. The evolution of the volume fraction of combustion products is established by the Reynolds transport theorem. It emerges that the burned-mass fraction is led by the turbulent particle motion, by the flame front velocity, and by the mean curvature of the flame front.

Computational Fluid Dynamics Model for Analysis of the Turbulent Limits of Hydrogen Combustion
This paper presents a novel numerical approach for assessing the turbulent limits of hydrogen combustion. In the framework of this approach, the premixed combustion is studied numerically in the externally generated turbulent field with defined ...
