Eating and drinking abilities and nutritional status in children with cerebral palsy: A population‐based study

In a population based study using data from 2280 children with CP, almost one third of children had safety concerns related to eating and drinking (as rated using the Eating and Drinking Ability Classification System, EDACS). Undernutrition was found in 20% of children and higher EDACS‐levels was associated with lower height for age.

Screening for brain‐related comorbidities in Duchenne muscular dystrophy: Construction, reliability, and validity of the BIND screener

The Brain Involvement iN Dystrophinopathies (BIND) screener is an 18‐item questionnaire with strong reliability and validity for identifying potential brain‐related comorbidities in Duchenne muscular dystrophy. It allows rapid, cross‐age and cross‐country screening for both clinical and research purposes, demonstrating good sensitivity and specificity.

Ophthalmological outcomes, visual perception, fine motor precision, and visual‐motor integration in children born very preterm

Children born very preterm with poorer ophthalmological function at 2 years 6 months, 6 years 6 months, and 12 years showed poorer visuo‐perceptual, visual‐motor, and fine motor skills at 12 years, emphasizing the role of visual input in visual‐motor development.
