Pressure distribution on mattresses

Journal of Biomechanics, 1993
Measurements of pressure distribution are usually performed on a hard base, such as those in gait analysis or tire research; measurements on soft surfaces are avoided because of technical problems. A sensor mat was developed which consists of 512 pressure sensors, glued to arbitrary locations of a fabric.

Pressure distribution in externally pressurized bearings

International Journal of Mechanical Sciences, 1967
Abstract A modified solution has been obtained for pressure distribution in externally pressurized bearings. Comparison is made with the earlier theory proposed by Sasaki and Mori.

Pressure Distribution Model for Pressure Garment Development

Research Journal of Textile and Apparel, 2015
This paper reports a pressure distribution model that will predict the pressure applied by a pressure garment onto a wounded body segment which could facilitate the production of custom made pressure garments. The model is generated by using the 3D data of the wounded body segment of a patient which are obtained by a non-intrusive non-contact ...

PRESSURE DISTRIBUTION IN MORTONʼS FOOT STRUCTURE

Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, 1985
The Morton foot structure (MFS) is a foot having, as its most prominent distinguishing feature, a second metatarsal head which is more distally placed than the head of the first. This structure has been associated with a variety of foot problems in athletes.

Theoretical Pressure Distribution

Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology, 1935
THE distribution of pressure over an aerofoil is often required for rib tests and for obtaining the loadings for flaps and ailerons. The experimental data on the subject is scanty and for some of the newer sections no tests have as yet been published. A method of obtaining the pressure distribution over an aerofoil analytically is described in N.A.C.A.

Pressure Distribution Measurements in Fixed-Anvil High-Pressure Cells

Science, 1964
Absorption spectra of selected microsections of materials with pressure-sensitive absorption bands mounted in diamond-anvil high-pressure cells were determined. The shift in the absorption peak, combined with data obtained at uniform pressure, permits calculation of the pressure of the microsection selected. Examples of a parabolic decrease in pressure

Distribution of intraocular pressure in dogs

Veterinary Ophthalmology, 1998
Intraocular pressure (IOP) was measured by four different applanation tonometers in normal dogs. By MacKay‐Marg tonometry in 391 dogs (772 eyes) the mean ± SD IOP was 18.8 ± 5.5 mmHg (range 8–52 mmHg). Using Tono‐Pen XL tonometry in 421 dogs (823 eyes) the mean IOP was 19.2 ± 5.9 mmHg, and the range was 4.42 mmHg. With MMAC‐II tonometry in 80 dogs (158
