Scaling of the Splash Threshold for Low-Viscosity Fluids
The ambient gas pressure is determined for the onset of splashing of low-viscosity liquid drops on smooth dry surfaces as we change the control parameters: drop impact velocity, drop radius, viscosity, surface tension, density, and gas molecular weight ...

Continuous phase transition and negative specific heat in finite nuclei [PDF]
The liquid-gas phase transition in finite nuclei is studied in a heated liquid-drop model where the nuclear drop is assumed to be in thermodynamic equilibrium with its own evaporated nucleonic vapor conserving the total baryon number and isospin of the ...

Intravitreal GD2‐Specific Chimeric Antigen Receptor T‐Cell Therapy for Refractory Retinoblastoma
ABSTRACT Effective treatments for advanced, treatment‐resistant retinoblastoma (RB) remain limited. GD2‐specific chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells show potent antitumor activity with minimal toxicity but have not previously been evaluated in RB.

Pressure Drop in The Hydrocyclone
The success of removal of suspended solid from suspending liquid by a hydrocyc¬lone is a function of the dimensions of the hydrocyclone, operation variables, and physical properties of the liquid and particles. Hydrocyclone develops separational power through the use of fluid pressure energy.

Modelling of solid flow effect on pressure drop in a vertical gas well
To predict bottom-hole pressure accurately and project the achievable production rate from a gas well with large accuracy, a modelling of solid flow effect on pressure drop in a vertical gas well is proposed.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
