Mass transfer and hydrodynamic characteristics of new carbon carbon packing: Application to CO2 post-combustion capture [PDF]
A novel structured packing, the 4D packing, has been characterized in terms of hydrodynamics, effective area and gas side mass transfer coefficient. The increase of the 4D opening fraction allows to reduce pressure drop and to get a better capacity than ...

Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

A Criterion of Negative Frictional Pressure Drop in Vertical Two- Phase Flow
Pressure drop is an important parameter in the study of gas-liquid two-phase flow (Beggs and Brill, 1973). The phenomenon of negative frictional pressure drop is observed in an experiment. In the process of the experiment, it is necessary to research the

Fluidization of Group B particles with a rotating distributor [PDF]
A novel rotating distributor fluidized bed is presented. The distributor is a rotating perforated plate, with 1% open-area ratio. This work evaluates the performance of this new design, considering pressure drop, Δp, and quality of fluidization.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Analysis of flow resistance in bundles of power plant condensers [PDF]
Shell-side pressure drop is a very important variable in the successful design of the condensers. The prediction of this pressure drop through the horizontal tube banks, with condensation, has long been a problem facing design engineers.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...
