Tuning Pore Size in Porous Graphene Membrane for O2/N2 Separation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Single‐layer graphene membranes featuring N‐functionalized, 0D pores offer a promising platform for O2/N2 separation. The heterogeneity of functional groups at the pore edge is dynamically tunable, enabling precise tuning of the pore limiting diameter and gas transport.

Influence of Metal Oxide Interface Layers on the Thermochromic Properties of VO2 Thin Films Deposited by Magnetron Sputtering

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study investigates the thermochromic properties of VO2 deposited on aluminum doped zinc oxide precoated fused silica with Al2O3, TiO2, and WO3 as interface layers. The results indicate that the metal‐to‐insulator transition is highly influenced by the grains formed at the interface.

Powder‐to‐Film Conversion of Nickel Single‐Atom Catalysts into Binder‐Free and Resistant Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A reproducible strategy is reported for fabricating standalone thin‐film electrodes composed of CNx‐supported Ni single‐atom catalysts. The resulting binder‐free electrodes exhibit robust stability, enhanced charge transfer, and superior electrochemical performance, offering scalable opportunities for applications in electrochemistry. ABSTRACT Although

Fabrication Method of Directional Microstructure for High Energy Density, High Power Battery Cathodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Aqueous directional ice templating (DIT) is developed for making NMC811 cathodes containing vertically aligned pore arrays through electrode thickness. The effects of calendering are studied for the DIT electrodes to find optimal calendering and simultaneously achieve high gravimetric and volumetric energy densities and rate capability for lithium ion ...
