Prestack structurally constrained impedance inversion
Classical prestack impedance inversion methods are based on performing a common-depth point (CDP) by CDP inversion using Tikhonov-type regularization. We refer to it as lateral unconstrained inversion (1D-LUI). Prestack seismic data usually have a low signal-to-noise ratio, and the 1D-LUI approach is sensitive to noise.

Prestack seismic inversion with structural constraints
Interpretation, 2021Abstract Prestack seismic inversion usually suffers from a lower signal-to-noise ratio, which could result in unstable inversion results. The conventional multitrace lateral constrained inversion blurs steeply dipping layers, whereas the simple structural constrained inversion is affected by noise.

Limited by the bandwidth of the wavelet, prestack seismic inversion is ill-posed as well as poststack inversion. Some prior constraints are helpful to guide the solution. However, prior information is not necessarily provided or met in practice. Thus it is important to relax constraints of inversion. In this study, the amplitude and phase estimation of

Structure-oriented prestack waveform inversion
Geophysics, 2022ABSTRACT The prediction of elastic parameters (i.e., P-, S-wave velocity, and density) is one of the key tasks of seismic reservoir characterization. The amplitude-variation-with-offset/angle seismic inversion based on the exact Zoeppritz equation (EZE) or its approximations presupposes a single interface and ignores wave-propagation ...

Improving the quality of prestack inversion by prestack data conditioning
Interpretation, 2014Abstract Prestack seismic inversion techniques provide valuable information of rock properties, lithology, and fluid content for reservoir characterization. The confidence of inverted results increases with increasing incident angle of seismic gathers.

Prestack Waveform Inversion by Using an Optimized Linear Inversion Scheme
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2019Seismic waveform inversion has been one of the most studied topics in recent years, which can be implemented both in common shot gather and prestack common midpoint gather. However, there are still several intractable issues to be addressed urgently, such as high-computational complexity, nonuniqueness, and robustness.

Machine Learning-Based Seafloor Seismic Prestack Inversion
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2021Machine learning (ML) is emerging as a new approach for developing algorithms in geophysical research. In this study, a six-layer neural network is designed to estimate seafloor properties using seismic prestack data. In conjunction with the designed neural network architecture, a straightforward network training scheme is developed, which is efficient

Prestack migration deconvolution+AVO inversion
SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 2003, 2003Measuring reection amplitude versus oset (AVO) has proved to be eective in reservoir characterization. Experience shows that AVO inversion methods based on amplitude-preserved prestack migration typically provides a more accurate lithology estimate than NMO-based AVO analysis.
