Since the energy demand increases, the sources of fluid energy such as wind energy and marine energy have attracted widespread attention, especially vortex‐induced vibrations excited by wind energy. It is well known that the lock‐in effect in vortex‐induced vibration can be applied to the piezoelectric energy harvester.

This experimental work investigates the energy control of the doubly fed induction generator. The energy control is performed using a direct power control based on a fractional‐order proportional‐integral (FOPI) regulator. The PI regulator parameters are calculated using a genetic algorithm. The use of this strategy ensures stable operation of the DFIG,

Study on Fluid‐Induced Vibration Power Harvesting of Square Columns under Different Attack Angles
A model of the flow‐vibration‐electrical circuit multiphysical coupling system for solving square column vortex‐induced vibration piezoelectric energy harvesting (VIVPEH) is proposed in this paper. The quasi steady state theory is adopted to describe the fluid solid coupling process of vortex‐induced vibration based on the finite volume method coupled ...

As the proportion of renewable energy sources continues to rise, the stability and reliability of the power system face enormous challenges. Virtual synchronous generators (VSGs) enhance grid stability by simulating conventional synchronous generator characteristics and providing virtual inertia and damping to the system.

A coexistence decision‐making (CDM) system for efficient TV whitespace (TVWS) sharing among whitespace objects (WSOs) is introduced in this paper. The proposed system is considered versatile in functionality as it jointly takes care of three distinct channel allocation features: (a) optimizing system quality of service (QoS) performance metrics, (b ...

The wake energy of an electromagnetic harvesting device is derived from the phenomena of wake‐induced vibration (WIV). Experiments were conducted to determine the effects of the Reynolds number, the resistance of the circuit, and the distance between two concentric circular cylinders on the wake energy of the flow. The mechanism of the diaphragm energy

Piezoelectric Wind Energy Harvesting from Self‐Excited Vibration of Square Cylinder
Self‐excited vibration of a square cylinder has been considered as an effective way in harvesting piezoelectric wind energy. In present work, both of the vortex‐induced vibration and unstable galloping phenomenon process are investigated in a reduced velocity (Ur = U/ωn · D) range of 4 ≤ Ur ≤ 20 with load resistance ranging in 100 Ω ≤ R ≤ 1 MΩ.
