Recent advances in imprecise-probabilistic graphical models [PDF]
We summarise and provide pointers to recent advances in inference and identification for specific types of probabilistic graphical models using imprecise probabilities.

Factorisation properties of the strong product [PDF]
We investigate a number of factorisation conditions in the frame- work of sets of probability measures, or coherent lower previsions, with finite referential spaces.

Conglomerable Coherent Lower Previsions [PDF]
Walley’s theory of coherent lower previsions builds upon the former theory by Williams with the explicit aim to make it deal with conglomerability. We show that such a construction has been only partly successful because Walley’s founding axiom of joint coherence does not entirely capture the implications of conglomerability.

Teaching statistics in the physics curriculum: Unifying and clarifying role of subjective probability [PDF]
Subjective probability is based on the intuitive idea that probability quantifies the degree of belief that an event will occur. A probability theory based on this idea represents the most general framework for handling uncertainty.

Nested Selves: Self‐Organization and Shared Markov Blankets in Prenatal Development in Humans
Abstract The immune system is a central component of organismic function in humans. This paper addresses self‐organization of biological systems in relation to—and nested within—other biological systems in pregnancy. Pregnancy constitutes a fundamental state for human embodiment and a key step in the evolution and conservation of our species. While not

2-coherent and 2-convex Conditional Lower Previsions [PDF]
In this paper we explore relaxations of (Williams) coherent and convex conditional previsions that form the families of $n$-coherent and $n$-convex conditional previsions, at the varying of $n$.

Lower and upper covariance [PDF]
We give a definition for lower and upper covariance in Walley's theory of imprecise probabilities (or coherent lower previsions) that is direct, i.e., does not refer to credal sets. It generalizes Walley's definition for lower and upper variance.

ABSTRACT This paper reports on the excavation of a cache of stone artefacts, buried on the bank of a waterhole or ‘billabong’ in central western Queensland. This is an extremely rare find, and yet it is the second such site to be reported within less than a 10 km radius.

Intravenous lanadelumab for the treatment of moderately ill COVID‐19 patients
Aims Kallikrein‐kinin system (KKS) dysregulation is hypothesized to play a pathogenetic role in COVID‐19‐associated pulmonary oedema. To investigate the efficacy and safety of intravenous lanadelumab, a monoclonal antibody that inhibits plasma kallikrein, in COVID‐19, we conducted a phase 2, open‐label, randomized‐controlled, proof‐of‐concept ...
