Price Differentials and Transmission of Pricing Information in Norway

open access: yesAsia Europe Perspective Association, 2015
In many countries, stock markets are segmented to allow firms to issue shares that attract foreign funds while minimizing risk of market destabilization and loss of ownership control to foreign investors. Under these condition, two classes of shares are normally issued: restricted shares that can be traded by foreign investors, and unrestricted shares ...

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Price transmission and estimations of price elasticity of secondary demand functions: application on commodity market for food grains

open access: yesAgricultural Economics (AGRICECON), 2005
The paper is focused on the quantitative analysis of the price transmission and on its use for the estimations of the direct price elasticity of the vertical-derived demand functions.

SPATIAL PRICE CONNECTIVITY IN MARKETING BEEF CATTLE IN KUPANG REGENCY, INDONESIA [PDF]

open access: yesRussian Journal of Agricultural and Socio-Economic Sciences, 2019
Farmers as producers in the process of fattening cattle are needed a long time between 6 (six) months to 1 (one) year longer. It is expected that the proceeds from the sale of cattle raised will provide an adequate imbalance. The research was used survey

Cancer cell‐intrinsic type 1 interferon: production, signaling, and outcomes within sex‐biased, female malignancies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The cell‐autonomous roles of interferon type 1 vary based on duration and intensity. While acute, robust signaling results in cancer cell cytotoxic effects, sustained, low‐level signaling is associated with tumor‐promoting effects. This review summarizes current research of IFN‐1 in cancer and within the clinical setting, with an emphasis on female ...

The Estimation of Threshold Models in Price Transmission Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, 2013
The threshold vector error correction model is a popular tool for the analysis of spatial price transmission. In the literature, the profile likelihood estimator is the preferred choice for estimating this model. Yet, in many settings this estimator performs poorly.

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐
