Primary Decomposition of Ideals of Lattice Homomorphisms

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics, 2018
For two given finite lattices $L$ and $M$, we introduce the ideal of lattice homomorphism $J(L,M)$, whose minimal monomial generators correspond to lattice homomorphisms $\phi : L\to M$. We show that $L$ is a distributive lattice if and only if the equidimensinal part of $J(L,M)$ is the same as the equidimensional part of the ideal of poset ...

Surface Tension Measurement of Ti‐6Al‐4V by Falling Droplet Method in Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In this article, the temperature‐dependent surface tension of free falling, oscillating Ti‐6Al‐4V droplets is investigated in both argon and monosilane doped, oxygen‐free atmosphere. Droplet temperature and oscillation are captured with one single high‐speed camera, and the surface tension is calculated with Rayleigh's formula.

Phyllospheric fungal diversity in decomposing larch leaf litter: a comparative study of epiphytic and endophytic fungi

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
IntroductionEpiphytic and endophytic fungi are primary decomposers of forest litter due to their complex species composition and metabolic functions. To clarify the community diversity of phyllospheric fungi and to explore nutrient loss and the role of ...

Decomposition of terrestrial resource subsidies in headwater streams: Does consumer diversity matter?

open access: yesEcosphere, 2017
Resource subsidies and biodiversity are essential for maintaining community structure and ecosystem functioning, but the relative importance of consumer diversity and resource characteristics to decomposition remains unclear.

Prime and primary ideals in characteristic one [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We study zero divisors and minimal prime ideals in semirings of characteristic one. Thereafter we find a counterexample to the most obvious version of primary decomposition, but are able to establish a weaker version.

Computing the Primary Decomposition of Zero-dimensional Ideals

open access: yesJournal of symbolic computation, 2002
Let K be an infinite perfect computable field and let I Kx ] be a zero-dimensional ideal represented by a Gr bner basis. We derive a new algorithm for computing the reduced primary decomposition of I using only standard linear algebra and univariate ...

Rafting of Ni‐Based Superalloys Under Multiaxial Load as Understood by Phase‐Field Simulations and Critical Experiments

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

Global meta-analysis reveals differential effects of climate and litter quality on soil fauna-mediated litter decomposition across size classes

open access: yesGeoderma
Litter decomposition is significantly influenced by soil fauna, litter quality, and climate. Effects of soil fauna on litter decomposition are largely dependent on the size classes of the fauna.

Primary Decomposition of Symmetric Ideals

open access: yesCoRR
We propose an effective method for primary decomposition of symmetric ideals. Let $K[X]=K[x_1,\ldots,x_n]$ be the $n$-valuables polynomial ring over a field $K$ and $\mathfrak{S}_n$ the symmetric group of order $n$. We consider the canonical action of $\mathfrak{S}_n$ on $K[X]$ i.e. $σ(f(x_1,\ldots,x_n))=f(x_{σ(1)},\ldots,x_{σ(n)})$ for $σ\in \mathfrak{

Gröbner Bases and Primary Decomposition of Modules

open access: yesJournal of symbolic computation, 1992
In this paper I present definitions and algorithms for Grobner bases for submodules of free modules over polynomial rings in n variables over Noetherian commutative rings with certain algorithmic properties.
