Variable demand pattern with the large-scale photovoltaic (PV) integration poses a challenge for the system operator to maintain demand-generation balance. This imbalance would lead to events of frequency deviations. The initial frequency deviation can be counteracted by system inertia (SI) and primary frequency response (PFR).
