Mechanisms and therapeutic opportunities of the ribotoxic stress response in cancer
Cancer cells' high translational demand creates opportunities to therapeutically target ribosome function. Ribosome stalling and collisions activate ZAKα and the ribotoxic stress response (RSR), which can trigger rapid, p53‐independent apoptosis in cancer.

This study integrates publicly available transcriptomic datasets to identify molecular signatures associated with response to neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy in locally advanced rectal cancer. By analyzing a combination of multiple cohorts with bioinformatics approaches, we reveal biological pathways and immune‐related features that may improve ...

Polyurethane foam as a model to study primary implant stability. A series of in vitro studies
Primary stability of dental implants is defined as the absence of movement of an implant after surgical insertion. Primary stability is influenced by bone density, bone quality, surgical technique, and implant body geometry.

Critical loss of primary implant stability in osteosynthesis locking screws under cyclic overloading [PDF]
Primary implant stability, which refers to the stability of the implant during the initial healing period is a crucial factor in determining the long-term success of the implant and lays the foundation for secondary implant stability achieved through ...

Loss of NAPRT promotes lung tumor initiation and growth through a noncanonical mechanism, independent of its role in NAD+ biosynthesis. Mechanistically, NAPRT depletion activates the mTORC2‐driven AKT/β‐catenin signaling axis to enhance clonogenic and invasive phenotypes. Furthermore, lung‐specific Naprt deletion significantly increases tumor burden in

In head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) p53 and p63 exert opposite roles on the transcription regulation of the lncRNA NEAT1. Under basal conditions, p53 levels are low and p63 represses NEAT1 expression. Upon genotoxic stress, p53 is rapidly induced, displacing p63 from the NEAT1 promoter leading to NEAT1 transcriptional activation and ...

Calculating ISQ Primary Stability of a Dental Implant through Micromotion [PDF]
There are several types of primary and secondary stability measuring methods, but there are no calculating methods to determine direct primary stability. The aim of this work is to make a calculation method for primary stability. The out coming result of

Is primary stability a predictable parameter for loading implant?
Implant stability is important for osseointregration; without it, long-term success cannot be achieved. Continuous monitoring in a quantitative and objective manner is important to determine the status of implant stability. Measurement of implant stability is a valuable tool for making decisions pertaining to treatment protocol and it also improves ...

We established the avian chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) assay as a scalable in vivo model for studying circulating tumor cells (CTCs). Human gastrointestinal tumors spontaneously released genetically validated CTCs that were detected across multiple platforms, demonstrating that the CAM model provides an accessible tool for investigating early cancer ...
