Bioabsorbable Endovascular Adhesive Tape (BEAT) for Improving Vascular Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A bioabsorbable endovascular adhesive tape (BEAT) platform based on a hierarchical polyelectrolyte complex is developed to enhance drug delivery in the DCB system. The coating enables rapid transfer to the vessel, provides short‐term mechanical support, and promotes both immediate transfer and long‐term retention of drugs at the lesion site.

PAF Triggered Pyroptotic NETosis Aggravates Myocardial Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Platelet activating factor (PAF) secreted by cardiomyocytes during MI/R, drives NETs formation and subsequent NETosis. PAF/NETosis signaling activation is an initiative and causal factor in driving MI/R injury. This study identifies dapagliflozin as a potent NETosis inhibitor, and demonstrates that manipulating PAF‐NETosis signal by dapagliflozin or ...

“Intrapericardial Approach” for Venous Outflow Reconstruction in Living‐Donor Liver Transplantation for Budd‐Chiari Syndrome: Surgical Techniques and LongTerm Outcomes

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
Unlike deceased‐donor liver transplantation, living‐donor liver transplantation (LDLT) for Budd‐Chiari Syndrome (BCS) presents distinctive challenges in hepatic venous (HV)‐outflow reconstruction because diseased HV–inferior vena cava (IVC) cannot be entirely replaced with healthy donor vessels.

Rates of Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention Worldwide

open access: yesCirculation Journal, 2005
Primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is at present the most effective procedure for reducing the mortality rate of patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). However, there is a great difference between Japan and other countries in the rate of primary PCI.Registration period, number of patients with AMI, rates of primary PCI or ...

Extremity Function After Transfemoral Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation: A TAVI XS Sub‐Study

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Physical decline after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) is associated with worse outcomes. However, data on post‐TAVI extremity function are limited. This sub‐study of the TAVI XS trial aimed to assess extremity function after transfemoral TAVI, evaluate functional decline, compare outcomes between upper‐and lower ...
