Domain associated with zinc fingers‐containing NF90‐NF45 complex inhibits m6A modification of primary microRNA by suppressing METTL3/14 activity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
NF90–NF45 functions as a negative regulator of methyltransferase‐like 3/14 (METTL3/14)‐mediated N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) modification on primary microRNAs (pri‐miRNAs). NF90–NF45 binds to anti‐oncogenic pri‐miRNAs and inhibits their m6A modification, thereby suppressing the biogenesis of anti‐oncogenic miRNAs.

Tumor‐stromal crosstalk and macrophage enrichment are associated with chemotherapy response in bladder cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemoresistance in bladder cancer: Macrophage recruitment associated with CXCL1, CXCL5 and CXCL8 expression is characteristic of Gemcitabine/Cisplatin (Gem/Cis) Non‐Responder tumors (right side) while Responder tumors did not show substantial tumor‐stromal crosstalk (left side). All biological icons are attributed to Bioicons: carcinoma, cancerous‐cell‐

Primary Production

2001
The production of biomass by plants is of central importance to energy, carbon, and nutrient fluxes in ecosystems. Knowledge of the spatial and temporal variation of production and the underlying biotic and physical controls on this variation are central themes in ecosystem science.

Natural Product Primary Sulfonamides and Primary Sulfamates

Journal of Natural Products, 2015
Primary sulfonamide and primary sulfamate functional groups feature prominently in the structures of U.S. FDA-approved drugs. However, the natural product chemical space contains few examples of these well-known zinc-binding chemotypes, with just two primary sulfonamide and five primary sulfamate natural products isolated and characterized to date. One

Primary production and primary producers

1996
The distribution of plant species and their productivity in a fluvial hydro-system is dependent on the complex interactions between hydrodynamic processes (e.g. flow velocity, shear stress, the nature and stability of the substrate etc.), hydrochemical processes (e.g.

Chitin primary production

Biochemical Systematics and Ecology, 1991
Abstract Previous perspectives of chitin's role in the biosphere have been deficient because the role of chitin in primary production has been overlooked. Reasons for this oversight include confusion of chitins with the putative protein precipitates forming upon 5% trichloroacetic acid treatment.
